Block Toeplitz determinants, Gelfand-Dickey equations and Riemann-Hilb ert problems.

Abstract:

In this talk I will describe the relationships between the three objects appearing in the title. Time permitting I will also discuss concrete examples related to algebro-geometric solutions of the KdV equation.
